Alec Baldwin is facing involuntary manslaughter charges after a revolver he was rehearsing with during filming in New Mexico fatally injured Halyna Hutchins and movie director Joel Souza, who survived.
Prosecutors must prove that on-set firearm safety began with Gutierrez-Reed, who was in charge of all weapons on the production. Baldwin has denied responsibility for Hutchins's death and said he was told the gun was "cold".

An FBI forensic test of the revolver found it "functioned normally" and would not fire without the trigger being pulled.
A special prosecutor has been appointed to the case, who believes that if any one of these three people had done their job, Halyna Hutchins would be alive today.
Rust Move Productions are also facing charges for failing to follow proper firearm safety procedures. The company has yet to respond to the allegations. The case is still ongoing, with no resolution in sight.
If found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, Baldwin and Rust Move Productions could face jail time and hefty fines. Only time will tell how this case resolves itself.
