- Replace an outdated or incorrect source
- Add clarification where necessary
- Include a correction or update note when appropriate
We do not intentionally preserve information we know to be materially inaccurate simply because it was correct when originally published.
Updates Are Different From Corrections
Technology articles frequently need updates even when the original information was accurate.
For example, an AI company may:
- Change its pricing
- Introduce a new model
- Remove a feature
- Expand availability
- Change usage limits
- Rename a product
- Update an interface
- Modify a policy
Updating an article to reflect a genuine product change is not necessarily a correction of an earlier error.

Publication and Updated Dates
FaqsNow may display both publication and updated dates on articles.
An updated date should reflect a meaningful change to the article.
We do not intentionally change an article’s date solely to make old content appear newly published.
Minor spelling, punctuation, or formatting edits generally should not cause an article to appear substantively updated.
Reader-Reported Errors
Readers can help us identify information that may need correction.

When reporting a possible error, it is helpful to include:
- The URL of the article
- The information you believe is incorrect
- Why you believe it is incorrect
- A relevant source or reference, if available
We may review the report and update the article when a correction is warranted.
AI-Assisted Content and Corrections
AI tools may assist parts of our editorial workflow, but AI-generated output is not treated as independent verification.
If AI-assisted research, drafting, or editing contributes to an error that reaches publication, we treat that error the same way as any other factual error and aim to correct it.
